    • FreeWill.com Resources and Toolkits

The Catholic Community Foundation is excited to share with parishes an interactive planned giving resource called the Lifetime of Generosity Digital Legacy Seminar. Included in the seminar, and available for use by schools and nonprofit ministries, is a free will-writing tool, courtesy of our relationship with FreeWill.com. With these free resources, your supporters can protect their families and the blessings God has given them while ensuring that you, the life-giving parishes, schools, and nonprofit ministries of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, are sustained for future generations. (Disclaimer)

For more information on this estate-planning resource, including general resources and organization-specific toolkits, please click here.

    • Capital Campaign Guidance

The Catholic Community Foundation is available to help guide parishes, schools, and nonprofit ministries that are hoping to begin a capital campaign in selecting proper consultation to meet a specific project or need. Consultants can help discern whether or not a capital campaign is the right tactic for the project or need, strategically plan in preparing for the campaign, navigate a campaign feasibility study, and help understand best practices of successful campaigns. Please contact Executive Director Cory J. Howat for more information.

    • Increased Offertory Resource

Are you looking for innovative ways to increase your offertory? An Increased Offertory Program is often led by a third partner vendor that offers a complete range of services designed to increase weekly offertory giving in your parish. The Catholic Community Foundation endorses qualified and trusted outside consultants that can plan and facilitate the process, including our partner, Our Sunday Visitor, which has worked with several Archdiocese of New Orleans parishes implementing this service. See OSV’s website for more information.

    • Archdiocesan Development Council

The Archdiocesan Development Council (ADC) is convened by the Catholic Community Foundation.  The ADC hosts quarterly meetings for archdiocesan leadership engaged in philanthropic development work for idea sharing and collaboration opportunities and discussions. Membership consists of the chief fundraising professionals of the Catholic Community Foundation, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, St. Joseph Seminary College, and Notre Dame Seminary.  If you work for the archdiocese in a development capacity or have questions about the ADC, please contact Executive Director Cory J. Howat for more information.

      Our 2022 members include:

      • Maria Pardo Huete, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans
      • Caroline Thriffiley, Notre Dame Seminary
      • Liv Ferrick, Project Lazarus
      • Heather Sweeney, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana
      • Scott Wallace, St. Joseph Seminary College
    • Catholic Legacy Planning and Giving Seminars

The Catholic Community Foundation partners with parishes, schools, and nonprofit ministries to facilitate seminars on topics like Catholic legacy planning, end-of-life issues, and including organizations in your estate plan. If your parish, school, or nonprofit ministry would like to offer a seminar to your supporters, please contact Executive Director Cory J. Howat.

    • Financial Resources

The Catholic Community Foundation can help your supporters with their philanthropic investments in your organization.

Custodial and/or Endowment Funds: If your organization is interested in opening an investment account, such as a custodial and/or endowment fund, please contact Regina Templet, chief financial officer, or Cory J. Howat, executive director.

Stock Transfers: If your organization has a supporter interested in gifting appreciated securities (e.g. stocks or bonds), the Catholic Community Foundation can assist with the processing of this gift. Click here for our stock transfer form. If you have questions, please contact Regina Templet, chief financial officer, or Cory J. Howat, executive director.

Gift Planning Consultation: If you have a supporter interested in including your organization in their estate or receive notification that your organization is receiving a bequest, the Catholic Community Foundation can work with you and your supporter to provide necessary resources. Please contact Executive Director Cory J. Howat for more information.

Donor Advised Funds: If you have supporters looking for options to begin a donor advised fund, through which they could support your organization, please contact Executive Director Cory J. Howat for more information.
